Jaime L. Alspach, MT-BC
Co-Director

After growing up in North Olmsted, Ohio, Jaime received her Bachelor of Music degree in Music Therapy, from Ohio University. There she studied flute and piano and was active in Sigma Alpha Iota. Her clinical internship was completed at Capital District Beginnings in Troy, New York where she worked with Preschool and School-Aged children with a variety of disabilities in homes and schools. Jaime’s main interest is in providing Music Therapy (MT) services to children on the Autism Spectrum. Jaime’s primary responsibilities with MTEC include direct treatment with clients, overseeing client paperwork, and business accounting. She presents frequently to parent support groups, paraprofessionals, and professionals about MT and autism. She speaks often on how to incorporate MT into the home and schools to create opportunities for communication and growth. Jaime devotes much of her time towards advocating for music therapy as a related service on an IEP. It is for this reason why she is so passionate about the accuracy of progress reporting. Jaime shares her love of the outdoors with husband, Tom Alspach, a Software Engineer for Aurelian Corporation, children Ashley and Matthew, and their 8 year old puppy! She is also actively involved with her local Relay for Life, and is dedicated to raising money for the American Cancer Society in honor of her family who has been deeply affected by cancer.
